Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Community preparedness depends on local connections, practical support, and people who are willing to help when needed.

There are several ways you can get involved:

Join or support a neighbourhood group

Local “Neighbours Helping Neighbours” groups are informal networks where residents support one another with everyday needs and during disruptions.

These groups help strengthen:

  • Everyday neighbour connections
  • Local support during emergencies
  • Information sharing and check-ins

Volunteers are also encouraged to engage through existing organizations such as:

  • Rotary Clubs
  • Community associations
  • Faith-based groups
  • Service and volunteer organizations
  • Food banks, Food to Share, PEC Fresh Food

These groups are often already active in local support and coordination efforts.
